The Anthony Lakes Recreation Area is a site of extensive recreational
opportunity for people who enjoy the great outdoors year around.

~~~In Summer~~~
Lakeside campsites surround three mountain lakes.

Picnic, paddle around the lake, fish, swim, hike,
or relax in this peaceful alpine setting.

An excellent starting point for hikers, backpackers, hunters and fisherman
eager to experience the freedom of the high country-unpolluted, unspoiled,
and where wild game still abounds.

SKIING

A base elevation of 7,100 feet provides the Anthony Lakes Ski Area with
plenty of powder skiing on 21 prepared runs, accessed by poma or chairlift.
Anthony Lakes has the highest base elevation in Oregon.

Open from late November or early December through April, Anthony Lakes operates
Thursdays through Sundays and every day durning the Christmas and spring breaks.

SNOWMOBILING

Snowmobilers flock to Baker County for the lengthy
riding season and the county's variety of terrain.

Beginners can cruise along groomed trails as smooth as an autobahn,
while experts with their modified motors and deep-lugged tracks
try to conquer head-high powder drifts on near vertical slopes.
Baker County has more than 1,000 miles of marked trails,
most of which are groomed regularly during the winter.
